VisualRoute:
VisualRoute combines the tools Traceroute, Ping, and Whois into an easy-to-use graphical interface that analyzes Internet connections to quickly locate where an outage or slowdown occurs. In addition, VisualRoute identifies the geographical location of IP addresses and Web servers on a global map--key information for security purposes to help identify network intruders and Internet abusers. VisualRoute also provides e-mail tracking for troubleshooting e-mail problems and a Ping grapher for analyzing connectivity over time. The network service provider is identified for each hop, and instant domain and network Whois information enables quick problem or abuse reporting. New version includes new physical map option, improved tracing capabilities with multiple Internet protocols, port availability testing, and updated IP location database.
VisualRoute is available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish, and may be easily changed from one language to another. Available on the Windows, Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD, and Mac OS X platforms.
