SlingShot Ad Manager provides a graphical user interface (GUI) to administrate and create the text support files for the Microsoft Ad Rotator Component that ships with Internet Information Server and the various NT Option Packs. Let's face it... MSARC works great and it's fast! But it's not real intuitive without a front end. SlingShot Ad Manager is that front end and it allows you to maintain your advertisers in a database and create the required MSARC files with the click of a mouse leaving you, the web administrator, without the worries of making sure that you got your MSARC files correct.
SlingShot Ad Manager for MSARC was developed in its entirety using Active Server Pages. The only additional item you need is Microsoft's FREE Ad Rotator Component which is already included with ASP (Internet Information Server). SlingShot AM allows you to weight your banners making some ads appear more frequently than others. It supports multiple ad sizes utilizing "Ad Groups". You would essentially have an Ad Group for each advertising location on your page. You may have one position that displays standard 468x60 ad banners, another that displays 125x125 box ads, and another that displays 88x31 button ads. You might also have a different group appearing on your home page than on your other pages.
SlingShot Ad Manager also allows you to assign a username and password to each of your advertisers so they can log in and see only their advertisement statistics.
