"Over a period" of time allows you to designate the interval in minutes and seconds to save logged keys into a file. "When the keylogger is stopped" saves all keys logged when the keylogger is manually stopped. To manually stop the keylogger, you must first enter a string that will stop the keylogger, when that string is typed, the keylogger is stoped. You can also choose a maximum number of files to save. The log files are saved in a directory that you designate and the file names are the time and date. You can view the logs useing the "View Log" client which has two modes, "show the entire entry" and "make it easy to understand". "Show the entire entry" shows every single key typed, even mouse clicks. "Make it easy to understand" formats the log to make it easy to understand.
