This program scans your favorites news sites (like cnn.com, foxnews.com, etc.), retrieve news headlines and show them in a small always-on-top window (News Line) which can be moved on any place on your desktop. For each shown headline you can open "full story" page in your default web browser simply by clicking on the headline. You can add new site for scanning (channel) just by indicating the URL, the template for headlines recognition and the code page of the site (for non-English news sites). In addition NewsPiper checks your connection status by the schedule you setup (one time per minute, 5 times per hour, etc.) and changes the color of the icon in the system tray bar accordingly: green means your are online, red - offline.
