It is useful for connecting to devices that support only serial communications in situations where a standard terminal program such as HyperTerm or Procomm Plus is typically used. ElectroComm permits Remote Administration of the device by allowing the administrator to connect to the ElectroComm Telnet Service running on the computer and, after entering the appropriate username / password combination, connect to any of the computer's Comm Ports.
