BinarySmartButton .NET: How about having a button control that emulates the "XP theme" styled button, but without having to use an XP manifest file (a typical scenario would be when you are deploying your solutions in Windows 2000/non-XP Windows platforms) along with the ability to choose dynamically to emulate any of the standard XP theme colors, irrespective of the current active XP theme.
Yes! It would be really COOL!

Additionally, it would also be cool if the button control had a built-in ability to display drop-down menus (preferable VS.NET style emulating menu) to provide more command options to the button control!
Yes! That's exactly what we have in BinarySmartButton .NET!

To provide an extended, feature-rich and dynamically configurable XP-theme styled button control, Binarymission proudly presents - BinarySmartButton .NET Ver. 1.0 ©.

BinarySmartButton .NET is an extended replacement for the standard .NET Button control, providing a wealth of impressive features which makes it easier for you to develop and deliver more functionality in less time.

Feature list:

BinarySmartButton .NET offers the following rich features:

1. "XP-theme" style UI: The control presents its UI with the XP theme style look. Well! One may wonder - this feature is freely available when one uses XP manifest files. So why use this control?

Well, three cool reasons:-

a. Use of Manifest files and XP Themes is not possible in Windows 2000 and other non-XP windows platforms. So if you need XP theme style buttons in non-XP platforms, BinarySmartButton .NET comes handy!
b. The standard .NET button control does not support displaying images when it is set with its FlatStyle property as "System" and used with manifest files. BinarySmartButton .NET comes handy here!
c. Even when using manifest files in Windows XP, you can only use the active XP theme. With BinarySmartButton .NET, you can choose to have the button control display any of the 3 possible themes, irrespective of the currently active theme that is set in the Operating system. For example, even if the current active XP theme is set to Blue, you can choose to display the BinarySmartButton control emulating either Olive green or Silver theme. That's a Cool feature!

2. Support for displaying icon images with Alpha-channel information: You can now set button images with Icons without losing its alpha-channel information.

The standard .NET button control does not directly support displaying Icons with alpha-channel. Moreover, .NET standard button control does not display images when its FlatStyle is set to "System" to enable themed look. BinarySmartButton presents its UI with XP themed look, also displaying icon images without losing the icon's alpha-channel information.

3. Menu Button style: The control supports a special "MenuButton" style. When set with this style, you can assign a set of MenuItems to the control, and the control will automatically display a drop-down menu just below the control so as to let your users choose a command from a list of numerous possible commands. This feature extends the button control's functionality by making a variety of commands to choose from and execute, instead of the traditional "one command" button functionailty.

The control's drop-down menu is displayed using our popular BinaryMenuItem .NET control. This menu control lets you display Images and text in the drop-down menu along with the ever popular "Visual Studio .NET" style menu.
