In the hands of an experienced flier however it was a lethal weapon. The pilot, guns engines and 80% of the mass of the aircraft were concentrated in the first 1 = metres of the airframe. The massive torque from the rotary engine meant that it was 3 seconds quicker to turn 270 degrees left instead of 90 degrees right.
